Privacy Policy

How Pete Smith Digital handles your information — in plain English.

Pete Smith Digital ("I", "me", "my") runs the website petesmithdigital.com and provides web design, development, and related digital services, including REACH. I'm a sole trader based in the UK, and I take your privacy seriously. This policy explains what information I collect, why, and what rights you have. If anything here is unclear, just email info@petesmithdigital.com.

Who is responsible for your data?

I am — Pete Smith, trading as Pete Smith Digital. I am the "data controller" for the information collected through this site. You can reach me any time at info@petesmithdigital.com.

What information I collect

I only collect what I need to respond to you and provide my services:

I do not collect sensitive information such as your National Insurance number, and I don't ask for more than I need.

How I use your information

I will only send you marketing emails if you've agreed to receive them, and you can opt out at any time.

Payments

If you pay for a service (for example, a Blueprint session or a REACH upgrade), payment is handled securely by a third-party payment provider (Stripe). I don't see or store your full card details — those go directly to the payment provider, who processes them under their own privacy terms.

Who I share it with

I don't sell your information, ever. I only share it where necessary to run my business, with trusted service providers such as:

I may also disclose information if I'm legally required to (for example, to comply with a court order). Otherwise, your information stays with me.

Cookies

A cookie is a small file a website stores on your device. This site uses cookies to help it function, keep it secure, and understand how visitors use it. You can set your browser to refuse cookies, though some parts of the site may not work as well if you do.

How long I keep it

I keep your information only as long as needed — to provide the service, meet legal and accounting obligations, or until you ask me to delete it. When it's no longer needed, I securely delete it.

How I keep it safe

I take reasonable measures to keep your information secure. Payments are encrypted and handled by the payment provider. No system is ever completely secure, but I only keep what I need and protect it as best I reasonably can.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law (UK GDPR), you have the right to:

To exercise any of these rights, just email me at info@petesmithdigital.com and I'll sort it out.

Children

My services aren't aimed at anyone under 18, and I don't knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has provided me with personal information, please contact me and I'll delete it.

Links to other sites

This site may link to other websites (including client sites and REACH). I'm not responsible for their privacy practices, so do check their own policies when you visit them.

Changes to this policy

I may update this policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with a new "last updated" date below.
