Pete Smith Digital ("I", "me", "my") runs the website petesmithdigital.com and provides web design, development, and related digital services, including REACH. I'm a sole trader based in the UK, and I take your privacy seriously. This policy explains what information I collect, why, and what rights you have. Who is responsible for your data?

What information I collect
I only collect what I need to respond to you and provide my services:
- When you get in touch or book a call: your name, email address, and anything you choose to tell me about your project or enquiry.
- When you become a client: the contact and billing details needed to carry out and invoice the work.
- Automatically, when you visit: basic technical data such as your IP address, browser type, and pages visited, gathered through cookies and standard website analytics to help me understand how the site is used and keep it working.
I do not collect sensitive information such as your National Insurance number, and I don't ask for more than I need.
How I use your information
- To reply to your enquiries and provide the services you've asked for.
- To send you information you've requested, or that's relevant to work I'm doing for you.
- To manage bookings, invoices, and payments.
- To keep the website secure and improve how it works.
I will only send you marketing emails if you've agreed to receive them, and you can opt out at any time.
Payments
If you pay for a service (for example, a Blueprint session or a REACH upgrade), payment is handled securely by a third-party payment provider (Stripe). I don't see or store your full card details — those go directly to the payment provider, who processes them under their own privacy terms.
Who I share it with
I don't sell your information, ever. I only share it where necessary to run my business, with trusted service providers such as:
- My payment provider (Stripe), to take payments.
- My hosting and email providers, to run the website and communicate with you.
- Analytics tools, to understand site usage (where applicable).
I may also disclose information if I'm legally required to (for example, to comply with a court order). Otherwise, your information stays with me.
Cookies
A cookie is a small file a website stores on your device. This site uses cookies to help it function, keep it secure, and understand how visitors use it. You can set your browser to refuse cookies, though some parts of the site may not work as well if you do.
How long I keep it
I keep your information only as long as needed — to provide the service, meet legal and accounting obligations, or until you ask me to delete it. When it's no longer needed, I securely delete it.
How I keep it safe
I take reasonable measures to keep your information secure. Payments are encrypted and handled by the payment provider. No system is ever completely secure, but I only keep what I need and protect it as best I reasonably can.
Your rights

- Ask me to delete your information.
- Restrict or object to how I use it.

Children
My services aren't aimed at anyone under 18, and I don't knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has provided me with personal information, please contact me and I'll delete it.
